The Guardian website is one of the UK's most popular newspaper websites. With over 13 million unique users guardian.co.uk has grown dramatically since its launch in 1999.
Its network of sites now covers news, politics, film, books, travel, shopping, jobs, life and health, money, science, technology, football and sport, as well as stand alone sites MediaGuardian.co.uk, EducationGuardian.co.uk, SocietyGuardian.co.uk and Observer.co.uk.
Paid-for services such as crosswords and The Wrap daily email were introduced in 2003, and in 2004 guardian.co.uk consolidated its position as a provider of immediacy, depth and interactivity with the launch of its blogs, the Soulmates dating service and digital editions of the Guardian and Observer newspapers. Content from guardian.co.uk can now be accessed via email, mobile phone, Blackberry,PDA, RSS and downloadable pdf in the form of G24.
2006 and 2007 have seen the ongoing roll-out of further audio and video content across the site, from news reporting on guardian.co.uk/news to interviews and review on guardian.co.uk/music.
